Nvidia Breaks Market Value Record Again!

Nvidia, which has been making headlines in recent years for its leadership in the field of artificial intelligence chips, has reached the highest company value ever recorded, with a market capitalization of $3.92 trillion. This value surpassed the $3.915 trillion record set by Apple on December 26, 2024. Its shares rose by 2.4% to $160.98 in early morning trading on the same day.

The underlying reason for Nvidia's increase in value is the high performance of its latest generation AI chips in large language models and other AI applications. The company's hardware is used as a fundamental component in the AI-focused data center investments of tech giants like Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, Alphabet, and Tesla. This increasing demand has directly reflected in the company's share value.

With this value, Nvidia has surpassed the total market value of the Canadian and Mexican stock exchanges combined, and also exceeded the total market capitalization of all publicly traded companies in the United Kingdom. Its share value has increased eightfold in the last four years.

Nvidia, which had a market capitalization of approximately $500 billion in 2021, has approached the $4 trillion mark by 2025. Shares have risen 68% since their low close on April 4th. The company currently makes up 7% of the S&P 500 index. Along with Nvidia, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, and Alphabet hold a total of 28% of the index.
